My name is Ryan, and I'm the founder of Iron Canvas Metalworks. I've spent the last 15 years working with metal, welding, fabricating, cutting, and shaping steel into something that lasts. What started as a deep fascination with the craft turned into a lifelong calling.

There's something about raw natural steel, the way it looks after a clean weld and a careful sand, that I've always admired. It's honest. It's tough. And when it's done right, it's beautiful. That's the standard I hold every piece to.

I'll be honest with you: I'm a lifelong DIYer with a head full of ideas. Over the years I've dreamed up more business concepts than I can count and documented every one of them. But this one is different. Metal fabrication has always been my true passion, the one I kept coming back to. Iron Canvas Metalworks isn't just another idea; it's the true dream I finally decided to build.

Where We're Headed

My vision for Iron Canvas goes beyond custom signs and art pieces. I'm building toward something bigger, laser-cut semi-privacy metal fencing and architectural metalwork that transforms outdoor spaces. Think custom steel art / railings around porches, backlit signs mounted onto wood fencing, and full custom metal fence panels with wildlife, flowers, animals, cars, or your family name cut right into the steel. Pieces that are as personal as they are permanent.

This is metalwork meant to last a lifetime. Something you pass down, not replace.

The Craft Behind It

I went to school for Business Administration and earned my Technical certificate, but the real education happened in the shop. Every project taught me something new, and every piece I make reflects years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for the trade.

Iron Canvas Metalworks is something I'm building with purpose, for my customers, and one day, to pass on to my kids. A legacy of hard work, American-made craftsmanship, and metal that means something.
